This Is What The TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto Conveyed To General Andika Perkasa Facing The Fit And Feasibility Test Today At The Indonesian House Of Representatives

JAKARTA - Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Andika Perkasa revealed that TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto wished him success in the fit and proper test (FPT) as a candidate for TNI commander which was held today.

Andika said Hadi could not accompany him to accompany him to the Parliament Complex to undergo the FPT, because he was on an official trip.

"Pak Hadi is in the foreign service and has also congratulated him. Well, just good luck with that, that's what he said," he said, at the Parliament Complex, Saturday, November 6.

Furthermore, Andika said that he did not have any special preparations to face the FPT today.

"We are what we are," he said.

For your information, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has just appointed Army Chief of Staff General Andija Perkasa as the TNI's top candidate. Andika is the sole candidate in the nomination as the supreme leader of the TNI.

Andika's name was proposed by Jokowi to the DPR on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 to undergo a fit and proper test.

If later officially elected as the number one person in the TNI, Andika will only be the commander for approximately one year. The reason is, Andika will enter retirement on December 21, 2022.
