BOGOR – 10 cobra cubs were secured by the Bogor Regency Fire Department from one of the houses in Cileungsi and Cibinong sub-districts, Thursday, November 4, evening.

"We received reports that eight cobra cubs entered a resident's house in Cileungsi, and two in Cibinong," explained the Commander of Rescue Team 2 of the Bogor Regency Fire Department, Muhammad Ridwan, when confirmed, Friday, November 6.

After successfully evacuating, the cobra cub was taken to the Bogor District Fire Service Office to be returned to its habitat.

"Later, we will return it to its natural habitat which is far from residential areas," said Ridwan.

Ridwan said residents should be more vigilant and careful. Because, said Ridwan, in October and November, snakes have entered the season to lay eggs and hatch. According to Ridwan, it is not surprising that his party has started to enter reports of snake findings around settlements.

"Every year we boom reports of cobras in various locations. Along with the time the snakes hatch," he said.

Ridwan appealed to the public to always keep the environment clean.

"If residents are not sterile about their own territory, then snakes will usually hide behind piles of goods in people's homes," he concluded.
