PSI Criticizes Comparison Of NU-Muhammadiyah Grants With MUI In The Anies Baswedan Era

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission E of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PSI faction, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, has encouraged additional grants for Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah Jakarta organizations.

Anggara conveyed this because he saw that there was still an imbalance in the amount of grants between religious organizations.

"If we look at the design, the Jakarta PWNU grants worth IDR 2.07 billion and the Muhammadiyah Jakarta PWs worth IDR 1.89 billion are very unequal compared to for example the Jakarta MUI amounting to IDR 10.6 billion," Anggara said at the Pre-Discussion Meeting of the PPAS 2022 KUA some time ago. as in his statement to the editor, Friday, November 5th.

Anggara assesses that NU and Muhammadiyah need adequate funding because they have many branch organizations such as Islamic boarding schools, madrasas, schools, universities, clinics, and hospitals. Therefore, even though they have received funding from the state budget, their needs are indeed many.

"We can compare NU and Muhammadiyah organizations with MUI because these three institutions also receive funding from the state budget," Anggara added.

Anggara believes that in addition to considering the benefits for the community, proportionality must also be a concern.

"The Dikmental Bureau needs to pay attention to the proportionality of the distribution of grants worth a total of IDR 279 billion," concluded Anggara.
