The Perpetrator Of The Stabbing Of A Basic Food Trader At The Malabar Market Was Arrested While Hiding In The House Of A Traditional Healer In Bogor

TANGERANG – The Tangerang City Police and Jatiuwung Sector Police arrested the perpetrators of the stabbing of AS (38) as a basic food trader at the Malabar Market, Cibodas, Tangerang. The suspect with the initials RM (50) was arrested while hiding in the house of a shaman in the Tenjo area, Bogor, West Java.

"Our members took less than 24 hours to arrest the suspect RM last night in the Tenjo area on the border of Banten and Bogor," said the Tangerang City Police Chief, Kombes Deojiniu De Fatimah at the Tangerang City Police Headquarters, Wednesday, November 3.

From the results of the interim examination, the suspect abused the victim because it was triggered by revenge problems and trade competition.

"The motive is suspected to be revenge. It may also be due to an old problem that fueled the anger of the perpetrators to the point of conflict," he said.

As a result of the altercation, the victim suffered stab wounds to the left and right thighs and back and eventually fell down covered in blood.

Although he was rushed to the Tangerang City Hospital, the victim's life could not be saved. The US breathed its last Wednesday November 3, early in the morning, in hospital treatment.

In this case, a tempe trader with the initials P, who did not escape the attack by the perpetrators, was reportedly critical.

"Other victims who had intervened are still being treated in critical condition," said Kombes Deonijiu.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jatiuwung Police, AKP Suyoto, who participated in the arrest of the perpetrators, revealed the motive behind the bloodshed among traders in the Malabar market.

"The motive is that the perpetrators have a grudge with the victim because they are often ridiculed, their merchandise does not sell," said Suyoto.

For his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning severe persecution which carries a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison.

Previously, it was reported that there was a commotion between two food vendors at the Malabar Market, Cibodasari, Cibodas District, Tangerang City. AS (43), one of the traders, was stabbed by RM (50), another trader.

According to the testimony of a witness named Nurmansyah, the stabbing began when the US argued with RM, in the toilet on the ground floor of the Malabar Market which is behind. The incident occurred at around 07.40 WIB.

Nurmansyah said, when the two argued, AS ran to his shop which was located on the same floor.

"When he ran, he (US) fell right in front of here. When he fell, R stabbed AS, he stabbed him more than five times. Use a knife." Nurmansyah told reporters.

Meanwhile, one of the victim's colleagues tried to separate RM and AS. But when they intervened, continued Nurmansyah, a colleague of the victim with the initials P, who was known as a tempe trader, was actually hit by a knife in the upper right abdomen.

Still explained by Nurmansyah, AS was injured in the abdomen and thigh area. After stabbing AS, RM immediately ran away throwing a knife. RM runs off towards his shop on the ground floor.

Nurmansyah continued, in a panic condition RM met his wife and pushed him. R then pushed his wife and out of the market area. R then fled using his motorbike.
