10 Providers Have Not Payed Tower Retribution To Padang City Government, Who Are They?

JAKARTA - A total of 10 providers have not fulfilled their obligation to pay the 2021 tower levy to the Padang City Government until November 2021.

"To this day, the tower levy that has entered has reached Rp. 1.6 billion or 66.32 percent and there are still 10 providers who have not paid their obligations," said Head of the Padang Kominfo Office, Rudy Rinaldy, in Padang, Wednesday, November 3.

He appealed to providers who have not paid off their obligations to immediately pay the retribution because the payment period is only two months away.

"If it passes the end of the year, a large fine will be imposed," he said, as quoted by Antara.

Rudy said that tower retribution payments can be made online via e-payment. From the existing data, the tower owners who have paid the retribution are, on average, private tower owners.

Meanwhile, the owner of the red plate tower has not yet paid his obligations to the Padang City Government.

"Red plate cellular providers and other telecommunication tower owners have yet to appear in our e-payment system," he said.

Based on data compiled from the Padang Kominfo Office, the tower owner who has paid the levy, namely PT Daya Mitra Telekomunikasi, worth more than 700 million rupiah.

Then PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia, PT Tower Bersama, PT Indosiar Visual Mandiri, PT Cakrawala Andalas Televisi, PT Media Televisi Indonesia, and PT Televisi Transformasi Indonesia.

In 2021, Diskominfo Padang is targeted to achieve local revenue (PAD) from the tower levy sector of Rp.2,350,000,000.

Until this November, the tower levy that entered the Padang City Government was Rp. 1.6 billion.

To facilitate payments, the Padang City Government launched an e-payment application for payment of levies for towers and towers to make it easier for managers to pay retributions so that they are faster and more efficient.

"With this application, the tower manager only needs to access the towertel.padang.go.id application and then it will be listed how much the retribution value will be and then transfer it via a virtual account and go directly to the regional treasury.

According to him previously, if the tower manager wanted to pay the retribution, he had to use the manual method by depositing it into a regional treasury account.

The payment process is also quite fast after opening the application and clicking the pay menu, it only takes three minutes after being transferred, a proof of payment will appear.
