Be Alert For Karawang Residents, Positive Cases Of COVID-19 Still Occur

KARAWANG - The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 in Karawang Regency, West Java, said that there were still additional positive cases of COVID-19 in the local area. Therefore, residents are advised to remain vigilant.

"There are still COVID-19 cases in Karawang. There are even additional cases," said Fitra Hergyana, spokesperson for the local COVID-19 Handling Acceleration Task Force in Karawang, as reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 2.

According to the COVID-19 monitoring data from the Karawang Health Office, up to now the number of patients being treated is five and the remaining one is in self-isolation.

Meanwhile, the total number of patients who were declared cured reached 41,549 people and as many as 1,855 people who died. The number of residents who died from COVID-19 increased by two people compared to the previous day.

Along with this, Fitra appealed to the public not to be careless and assume that COVID-19 had disappeared. So it's better, stay alert by implementing health protocols.

"Indeed, there are concessions for some public places. But people should not be careless even though cases are low. Continue to use masks and wash hands as basic health protocols," he said.
