Steal VIVO V7 While The Owner Is Sleeping, Tarsidin Is Threatened With 3 Years In Prison

JAKARTA - The Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Sawah Besar Police arrested Tarsidin for stealing a cell phone on Jalan B III No 7 RT 04 RW 05 Karang Anyar Village, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta.

The Sawah Besar Police Chief, Police Commissioner (Kompol) Maulana Mukarom confirmed the arrest of an unemployed youth who stole a VIVO V7 cell phone. The perpetrator committed the theft by entering the victim's house.

"The owner of the house was sleeping, he entered straight away, it was a cell phone," the police chief told reporters, Tuesday, November 2.

Maulana said the perpetrator in carrying out his action did not target the victim. Seeing the victim off guard with his luggage, the perpetrator immediately launched his action.

"The victim was careless, the perpetrator immediately carried out the action," he said again.

Maulana continued, before taking action, the perpetrator monitored the surrounding situation to ensure that the situation was safe and that no one was aware of it. The perpetrator, wearing a black jacket and hat, went straight into taking a cell phone on the living room table.

"The victim reported, then our members immediately jumped in to arrest the perpetrator," he said.

The results of the investigation showed that in less than 24 hours his party was able to arrest the perpetrators in the Central Jakarta area.

The perpetrator admitted all his actions were stealing at the victim's house while the owner was sleeping.

"The price of the mobile phone is estimated to reach Rp. 5 million. That is based on information from the victim," he said again.

In order to account for his actions, the perpetrator is charged with Article 362 of the Criminal Code concerning theft with the threat of imprisonment for three years.
