PLN Ready To Pay Electricity Costs For Three Groups Of Customers

JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (Persero) or PLN has prepared a mechanism for providing a stimulus for Electricity Tariff (TTL) from the government in the form of free drinking accounts for social, business and industrial customers with power starting from 1,300 voltampere (VA) and above.

In addition to business customers above 1,300 VA power, the government stimulus is also provided for social customers with 220 VA to 900 VA power. In addition, business and industrial customers with 900 VA power can reduce load costs.

The Director of Commerce and Customer Management, Bob Saril explained, if the customer's usage is below the minimum kWh, then the customer only needs to pay according to his kWh usage. This government stimulus was given to ease the burden on customers facing the COVID-19 pandemic.

"As a state-owned company, PLN is ready to implement government policies to provide stimulus in the form of minimum account exemptions and expense fees," he said, in a written statement received by VOI , Thursday, July 30.

There are three categories of customers who will receive the tariff stimulus, namely:

1. Exemption from the application of the Minimum Account provisions for customers whose electricity consumption is below the minimum account requirement (40 hours on), applies to:

a. Customers for the Social Class with power of 1,300 VA and above (S2 / 1300 VA up to S-3 /> 200 kVA);

b. Business Class customers with power 1,300 VA and above (B1 / 1,300 VA up to B-3 /> 200 kVA); and

c. Customers for Industrial Class with power 1,300 VA and above (I-1 / 1,300 VA up to I-4 / 30,000 kVA and above);

2. Exemption from the application of the minimum hours of operation for special service class customers in accordance with the Power Purchase Agreement (SPJBTL).

3. Burden Fee Waiver, applied to:

a. Customers for the Social Class with the power of 220 VA and 900 VA (S-1/220 VA, S-2/450 VA, S-2/900 VA)

b. 900 VA (B-1/900 VA) Business Class customers; and

c. 900 VA (1-1 / 900 VA) Power Industry Customers

Bob explained, through this Electricity Tariff stimulus, customers only need to pay according to real usage. Meanwhile, the difference from the minimum account or minimum hours of life to the actual usage account and the cost of expenses is the stimulus paid by the government.

"This stimulus is valid from the July, August, September, October, November, and December 2020 accounts," he said.

PLN ensures that this stimulus will not interfere with PLN's finances. Bob said this was because every stimulus provided would be replaced by the government through a compensation mechanism such as the stimulus that has been given to subsidized 450 VA and 900 VA household customers as well as industries and small businesses with 450 VA power.
