Through Pantun Anies Expresses Longing To Be Close To Golkar, Observers Call It A Sign Of Wanting To Be Involved In The Presidential Election

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan uttered a rhyme that said he hoped to meet more often with the Golkar Party, which was considered to have a specific purpose.

Looking at the facts, Anies' term in DKI remains for one year. A political observer from Al-Azhar University, Ujang Komarudin, said that Anies' desire to meet Golkar did not only run while he was governor of DKI, but also during preparations for the 2024 presidential election.

"Anies said that he hopes to meet again often, while in October 2022 he has stopped being governor. The words in the poem must have a goal of going to the presidential election," Ujang told VOI, Tuesday, November 2.

As is known, to qualify as a presidential candidate, Anies must be supported by a party or coalition of parties of at least 20 percent of the seats in the DPR RI.

"You have to get a lot of support from all parties if you want to be a presidential or vice presidential candidate. As a non-party figure, Anies needs parties to meet the presidential nomination threshold," said Ujang.

Golkar does look determined to carry its general chairman, Airlangga Hartato, in the political contest in 2024. However, according to Ujang, politics is fluid.

Anies still sees an opportunity to be picked up by Golkar. Considering that currently the relationship between Anies and the Golkar faction in the DKI DPRD looks good.

"Now the formation of the coalition is also not clear, which party with which party, the presidential candidate is also not clear. Everything is still peeking. Anies still sees the opportunity. The parties will definitely be approached because he does not have a party," he said.

Two days ago, Anies attended the 57th Anniversary of the Golkar Party. In the welcoming session, he inserted a rhyme which meant that he was happy to meet the Golkar Party.

"Bang Basri doesn't want to be left behind. Cycling fast alone, meeting Golkar is always fun. Hopefully we meet again often," said Anies.
