Just Getting Known, Yujeong Leaves LABOUM

JAKARTA - Yujeong was declared out of the LABOUM group as of today, September 8. His contract period expired and he discontinued the contract after seven years.

Through his Instagram account, the leader of this group distributed letters to fans. He was grateful that they became known after the song Journey to Atlantis went viral.

“I want to say from the bottom of my heart that I am truly, truly grateful. This happened when my contract ended, it felt like a miracle,” said Yujeong.

Yujeong emphasized that although he is not continuing his contract, he will be participating in the event celebrating LABOUM's seven-year debut.

“I am very grateful to our members Soyeon, ZN, Haein, and Solbin for keeping our team for seven years in such an honorable position. Even though I feel lacking, I maintain the responsibilities of promotion as the group leader and the oldest member.”

LABOUM is a K-pop group that debuted in 2014. They release various songs every year but they became more and more known after the song Journey to Atlantis went viral.

Last March, the song Journey to Atlantis was performed at the Hangout with Yoo program so that this song immediately occupied the South Korean music charts. Since then they started actively promoting but today, LABOUM's leader, Yujeong ended his position.

Meanwhile, the other four members: Soyeon, ZN, Solbin, and Haein renewed their contracts and continued activities as LABOUM.
