JAKARTA - Iwan Fals has released his 42nd album, entitled Pun Aku, to coincide with his 60th birthday on 3 September. Iwan Fals held a concert this Friday night with musicians, one of them Ariel Noah.

According to Iwan, this album is very personal. "This is very personal. The stories in this song are snippets from the time of the reform era, the notes that I did. I can't run away from myself," he said in a virtual press conference, Friday, September 3.

"I make 'Pun Me', when will I sing it for myself. That's why 'Pun Me'," added Iwan.

"Pun Aku" produced by Musica Studio's and produced by Rambu Cikal and Lafa Pratomo, consists of 12 songs with a total play time of 55 minutes, including: "Pun", "An Genteng", Bunga Kayu", "Patah" and "Formu".

There is also the song "Congratulations" made in the music video version. This song contains a birthday message for Iwan.

"Everyone has a birthday, a day full of prayers. About ideas, I want to make a song ('Congratulations') about birthdays, sacred events," said Iwan.

In addition to these songs, two songs on this album have already been released, namely "16/01" which was co-written and also featured Sandrayati Fay, and "Red and White" which was launched as a personal gift from Iwan Fals for the 76th Indonesian Independence. last week.

Iwan hopes that this new album can inspire kindness to himself and others.

"Pun Aku" involves a number of collaborative compositions with a number of musicians across generations such as Danilla, Nadin Amizah, NonaRia, Sandrayati Fay and Rara Sekar.

There were also appearances from Maizura, Zara Leola, Shakira Jasmine, Regina Poetiray, Difki Khalif, Rheno Poetiray and Stevan Pasaribu. They became background singers in the song "Kabar Aroma Tanah".

Regarding the involvement of this musician, Cikal said, this just happened. Meanwhile, according to Lafa,
