BLACKPINK's Different Charisma In How You Like That

JAKARTA - BLACKPINK officially makes a comeback with How You Like That on Friday, June 26. Long awaited, finally this YG Entertainment care group let go of its latest project. How You Like That will be the first comeback of a three-set project planned for 2020.

In the 3-minute music video, Rose, Jisoo, Lisa, and Jennie appeared with new hairstyles. Likewise, the music is very boisterous with hip-hop beats. The four members' vocals and rap also seemed stronger than their previous comeback. A simple hook being the key to How You Like That sounds fun.

At a press conference held this afternoon on BLACKPINK's YouTube, Jennie mentioned that this first album is their full album project. "I want to show a new and different genre compared to previous releases," said the BLACKPINK rapper.

Since the beginning of How You Like That spins, the tone is simple and calm, but towards the chorus, BLACKPINK transforms into a more fierce and louder. "We sing to give a message not to be afraid of dark situations and lose confidence and strength to stand back up," replied Jisoo, BLACKPINK's oldest member.

Before the press conference to the release of the music video, words related to BLACKPINK occupied trending social media topics such as BLACKPINK and #HowYouLikeThatToday. This song is also immediately at number one on the music charts.

Still working with world fashion lines, BLACKPINK members explained fashion and music to be a combination in this comeback. Jennie admitted that they discussed with the stylists to create something that had never existed in the world before.

During the conference, they also expressed the joy of being able to collaborate with Lady Gaga on the song Sour Candy. "It's an honor when he says he's a fan of (BLACKPINK) because he likes the uniqueness and colors we have," said Jennie.

According to them, the collaboration that has been carried out also proves that music is universal and can overcome language limitations that are often doubted by people.

BLINKs as fans are not only spoiled with How You Like That because they are preparing an album for their comeback as well as preparing for solo projects for Rose, Jisoo, and Lisa. BLACKPINK also created a new Twitter account (@BLACKPINK) so they can interact with fans.

They will perform How You Like That for the first time on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on June 26, United States time. In addition, BLACKPINK will promote in music shows.
