Queen's Eternity In Royal Mail Stamps To Celebrate 50 Years Old

JAKARTA - Celebrating its 50th career, the band Queen and Royal Mail will release an exclusive stamp featuring the band's image. No half-hearted, as many as 13 graphics will be made stamps by Royal Mail.

These 13 pictures consist of eight album covers, four group portraits and group photos. Album covers that were used as stamps were Queen II, Sheer Heart Attack, A Night at the Opera, News of the World, The Game, Greatest Hits, The Works, and Innuendo.

Apart from stamps, Royal Mail also prepares Queen edition postage books, silver and gold coins with Queen signs, envelopes, and postcards for collectors.

Reporting from NME, Tuesday, June 23, Brian May, guitarist for Queen said, “It's hard to tell how I felt when I saw this beautiful stamp. Since the four of us started our search 50 years ago, our lives have made unreal dreams come true. ”

"There is nothing more 'home' than the extraordinary respect from the Royal Mail," he said gratefully.

Roger Taylor, Queen drummer also expressed his opinion. “We are a part of furniture now! Thank you."

Queen became the third band to open a postage stamp after The Beatles in 2007 and Pink Floyd in 2016.
