JAKARTA - Being a 'convicted' in the rioting of the Musikologi event that was held at Plaza Timur Senayan, Saturday, November 30 yesterday, put the band from Pamulang, South Tangerang, Jonkoppings in a difficult condition. On the other hand, the public seemed reluctant to accept their apology.

As previously reported, Jonkoppings' Twitter account revealed that a technical error on their monitor mixers had resulted in the missing sound monitors of several bands that had been saved. This made the bands that performed after they had to do a re-soundcheck before playing. It's quite time consuming.

Jonkoppings then looked for their sound engineer to hold him accountable. However, he could not be contacted and only responded at around 12:42 a.m., even though he had already arrived at his house around 22:00.

To VOI, Jonkoppings manager Syarif Abdurahman explained in detail the chronology of this dark incident. Regarding the soundcheck schedule for example. Syariff revealed that his hours often changed so that the schedule became messy.

"Our sound check schedule was actually Friday at 1 pm, but our Liaison Officer (LO) then informed the vendor that there was a problem with the vendor so that the soundcheck was postponed to 8 pm But because no one of our personnel could, we asked the schedule to be shifted to 11 pm. "When we arrived at the location at 10 pm, the two bands before us had not soundchecked. As a result, we soundchecked around half past three in the morning (Saturday morning)," regretted Syarif.

Before Jonkopping, there were Pijar and Hendri Sederethana who did the soundcheck. Meanwhile, The Panturas, The SIGIT, grin, and Feel Koplo got from morning to afternoon before the event. When Jonkopping soundcheck, there were no problems with the sound monitor settings that were kept by the two previous bands. This means that they do not participate in the soundcheck session from morning to afternoon because they have no interest.

In fact, the problems caused by this vendor affected the schedule for all bands to perform at the Red Stage - one of the two stages provided by the organizer (the other was the White Stage). Moreover, it was added to the unpredictable weather factor (heavy rain) and the delay of one of the artists due to congestion in the Senayan area. After getting off the stage, said Syarif, the sound engineer was still with them at the backstage. However, after Pijar finished, at around 6.30pm, a friend of Jonkoppings, who was familiar with the sound engineer monitor of one of the bands, told him that almost all of the band's sound monitor settings that had not been performed were gone!

"Technically, we don't know when the sound monitor settings for The Panturas, The SIGIT, grin, and Koplo's feel were gone. The ones that didn't disappear were Polka Wars, Jason Ranti and Iksan Sekuter. At that time, our sound engineers were not gone. with us backstage, but still at the venue. This is what makes some bands have to have a quick soundcheck. ”

As explained by the sound engineer in the screenshot of the WhatsApp conversation uploaded on Twitter, Syarif made sure, when their sound engineer plugs the flash into the mixer at the soundcheck session and even when they perform, the entire band's sound monitor data is still there.

Then who is wrong? Syarif did not want to speculate on who should be responsible for the incident. He didn't want the atmosphere to be even more cloudy.

"The riot in Musikologi was clearly not caused by our sound engineer factor, the event organizer had already explained several factors and the event was sabotaged by other parties and the committee's lack of socialization to visitors at the Red Stage that night."

At first glance, Syarif then recounted the beginning of Jonkoppings' meeting with their sound engineer. He said, in terms of quality and flight hours, the sound engineer had no doubt about his abilities. So we can be sure, he mastered the device well and did not use the knowledge of 'trial and error'.
