Music Festival in Cianjur Cancelled After Money Collected Allegedly Disappeared with Event Founder

JAKARTA - The Indonesian music performance industry is facing a big disappointment again. The Naura Music Festival, which was scheduled to take place at the Cibodas Golf Course, Puncak, Cianjur, on Saturday, May 2, is confirmed to be canceled.

This announcement was made directly by the festival committee through a statement delivered via an Instagram account upload.

"With a heavy heart, we announce that the Naura Music Festival 2026 has been officially canceled," the committee wrote in a statement, Wednesday, April 30 at night.

With the announcement distance so close to the day of the event, the committee explained, the decision to cancel the event was taken after the discovery of alleged embezzlement of funds and fraud committed by Naura Fest Founder, Andi Sanjaya, which directly impacted the sustainability of the event.

"We fully understand the disappointment and inconvenience felt by all parties, especially ticket buyers, media partners, sponsors, volunteers, and all parties who have provided support for this event," he said.

The committee also emphasized that they were not responsible for refunds on ticket purchases that had already occurred. All losses suffered by the audience were left entirely to Andi.

"We need to say firmly that the entire committee has never received funds in any form since the formation of the team until now. In fact, several members of the committee were also parties who were materially and immaterially harmed in this incident," said the committee.

In addition, those who call themselves as the committee also asked the audience not to intimidate the volunteers who have worked for the Naura Music Festival.

"We also express our deepest apologies to the volunteer candidates who have processed with us who are now affected by a situation that is beyond the control of the committee," he said.

"We appeal to all parties who purchase tickets through volunteers not to give pressure, intimidation, or blame the volunteers, because they are also victims in this incident. The responsibility lies entirely with the Founder of Naura Fest, Andi Sanjaya," he continued.

For information, the Naura Music Festival 2026 is the first event, which was first announced via Instagram in January, with the cheapest ticket price of IDR 150,000.

The line-up announced to perform at this festival includes Enau, Idgitaf, Pusakata, Mocca, Vierratale, Fiersa Besari, to Nasa Freak x Fanny Sabila.
