Lady Gaga Sets Record, The Mayhem Ball Tour Earns IDR 7.1 Trillion in Revenue

JAKARTA - Lady Gaga has cemented her position as the queen of pop after her series of concerts titled "The Mayhem Ball" recorded fantastic earnings.

Based on the latest data from Billboard Boxscore as of April 2026, the world tour managed to rake in gross revenue of 419.5 million US dollars or equivalent to Rp7.1 trillion.

The achievement places Gaga in the top ten list of female artists with the highest tour revenue in the history of global music.

The series of performances which lasted for 12 months officially ended at Madison Square Garden, New York, on April 13.

For a full year, the 40-year-old singer-songwriter has visited five continents and sold almost two million tickets. This figure is growing if you count his participation in major festivals such as Coachella and a free concert on Copacabana Beach, Rio de Janeiro, which is estimated to attract more than 4.5 million pairs of eyes.

The success of The Mayhem Ball not only became a personal record for the Mother Monster, but also recorded as the biggest pop tour in the 2020s after the phenomenon of Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour.

This momentum is directly proportional to the success of the album "Mayhem" which won the eighth Grammy trophy for the diva. The album was praised for bringing back the sense of artistic chaos that has been Gaga's signature since the beginning of her career in the music industry.

The Mayhem Ball stage visualization itself is known to be very theatrical and ambitious. In London, the performance is referred to as an effort to build a fantasy world wrapped in a horror camp involving witch properties to plague doctors. Gaga's ability to combine powerful vocals with complex stage narratives is a major attraction for her loyal fans, Little Monsters.

Gaga's achievement also shifted the position of several other top musicians in the competition for the most successful tour last year.

For comparison, Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter tour dominated with revenues of 407.6 million US dollars from 32 performances. Meanwhile, Oasis' reunion on the Live '25 tour followed in the next position with revenues of 405.4 million US dollars, although in terms of ticket sales, Noel and Liam Gallagher were ahead with a total of more than 2.2 million tickets sold.

To date, Taylor Swift still holds the highest throne with The Eras Tour breaking through the $2 billion mark in 2024. However, Lady Gaga's success in breaking through the $400 million mark proves that the artist's relevance in the music industry remains unshakable even though he has been in the industry for almost two decades.

Gaga's dominance of the world tour charts is further complemented by a long list of pop music achievements this year, competing closely with Coldplay's Music Of The Spheres tour and Kendrick Lamar and SZA's collaborative tour.
