Charly Van Houten and Setia Band Bring New Single "Hilang Ingatan" at a Concert in Malaysia

JAKARTA - Charly Van Houten with Setia Band proved their title as one of Indonesia's best music exports in the Southeast Asian arena.

In a solo concert titled "Symphony of the Best Works" held at Zepp Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Friday, April 17, thousands of pairs of eyes witnessed how magical the Setia Band performance was.

The concert hall was transformed into an ocean of emotions when Charly opened the stage with the song "Putri Iklan".

As if not giving the audience a chance to stop humming, Setia Band presented a long repertoire of about 25 songs.

A series of hits across decades, ranging from the ST12 era to Setia Band's latest works, such as "Puspa", "Cari Pacar Lagi", "Isabella", "Asmara", to "Jangan Ngarep", harmoniously played throughout the night.

The most emotional moment happened when Charly introduced his latest single, "Hilang Ingatan". Even though the song has just been released, his loyal fan base has apparently memorized every verse of the lyrics. This song with a strong melancholy feel successfully triggered a mass choir in the venue.

The presence of Fery Hudaya, the composer behind the song "Hilang Ingatan", was a surprise in itself. Charly gave special appreciation from the stage to the song's creator who also witnessed the success of the work in the neighboring country.

The concert was then closed with an emotional tribute through the song "Bintang Kehidupan" by the late Nike Ardilla.

Through a post on his official social media, Charly expressed his deep gratitude for the extraordinary response from the Malaysian public who made the show tickets sold out.

He appreciated the loyalty of fans who have consistently supported his musical journey to this day.

"Alhamdulillah, the concert tickets are sold out. Thank you so much to the loyal fans who watched this concert," wrote Charly via his personal Instagram account.

This success in Kuala Lumpur further strengthens Setia Band's position in the map of Malay pop music.

With attractive stage management and Charly's vocal quality that is still maintained, Setia Band proves that their music is not just nostalgia, but still relevant for today's generation of music listeners in the region.
