Angelina Jolie's Daughter Makes a Surprising Appearance in Dayoung's New MV

JAKARTA - The K-pop entertainment industry is again being rocked by unexpected news. Shiloh Jolie, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, appears in the latest music video for Dayoung's solo project, member of Cosmic Girls (WJSN).

This news surfaced after Starship Entertainment released a preview (teaser) of the music video for Dayoung's second digital single titled "What's a Girl to Do" via their official YouTube channel.

In the short video clip, Dayoung appears energetic with a fashionable background. However, immediate attention was drawn to the figure of a foreign woman who appeared as a background dancer, who was later confirmed as Shiloh.

Interestingly, the agency admitted that they were completely unaware of Shiloh's true identity during the filming process. Starship Entertainment representatives said that casting was done through a strict professional path in the United States.

"We held open auditions in the United States to find performers in Dayoung's music video. Among those who participated, there were several dancers affiliated with a dance crew called Culture," a Starship Entertainment representative said, citing Maeil Business Newspaper Star Today, Monday, April 6.

Furthermore, the agency explained that the selection process was based entirely on dancing ability. Shiloh managed to pass the final stage and joined the production without bringing the big names of his parents.

"Shiloh was selected in the final round and finally joined Dayoung's music video. Even after filming was over, we didn't know at all that she was the child of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. We only found out by accident not long ago," added Dayoung's representative.

Shiloh's involvement in this K-pop project adds to the long list of Jolie's family's interest in South Korean culture, given that her older brother, Maddox, previously studied at Yonsei University, Seoul.

Shiloh himself has recently attracted public attention through his dancing talent which is often uploaded on social media.

Shiloh's move to appear independently in the creative industry is also in line with her personal decision. Once she turns 18 in 2024, she will officially apply to the court to remove the last name "Pitt" and now legally use the name Shiloh Jolie.

The decision is suspected to have been triggered by a prolonged conflict between the two parents after their divorce in 2016.
