JAKARTA - The SIGIT brings new energy in their career journey now. This independent music dedengkot group released the latest material through a single titled Bread & Circus.

First, it was the inclusion of Absar Lebeh (guitar), Aghan Sudrajat (bass), and Raveliza (drums) as official personnel, accompanying Rektivianto Yoewono (vocals, guitar) and Farri Icksan Wibisana (guitar), the two original members of The SIGIT who survived.

The second thing is a new single ready to be released by the quintet. Titled "Bread & Circus", this single is an introduction to the latest form of musical exploration and spectrum of The SIGIT.
"Bread & Circus" carries a narrative about structural problems, namely the issue of land grabbing and abuse of power related to the arbitrary management of natural resources. This single also opens the narrative of The SIGIT's writing expression in the present era. A reminder, that in the end, nature and its consequences are the ones who bear the consequences.
The SIGIT's signature music is still the same, faithful to its guitar-driven rock. But this time it is even more intense with the involvement of synthesizers and electronic instruments - a perfect depiction of the 'psychedelic rock' color that is carried.
It is also acknowledged by Rekti, that the involvement of Absar, Aghan, and Ravel in the production process also gave a fresh breeze to The SIGIT in the songwriting process.
"Their presence clearly brings a different feel to the final result because their playing style is very different from the old formation habits. Their perspective and musical treasury open up horizons in the creation and arrangement of songs," continued Rekti.
Behind the scenes, The SIGIT was assisted by Tanya Ditaputri (Rattles) to fill in the background vocals, Budianto Setyadi as producer and mixing engineer, as well as Gunkbudi and Refantho Ramadhan in the visual department who worked on the artwork and photos for "Bread & Circus".
Third, a series of new material is being prepared by The SIGIT. This is something that should be anticipated and eagerly awaited by listeners and of course by the personnel, considering that the last time The SIGIT released material was the single "Another Day" in 2020. "Bread & Circus", is the opener of a series of upcoming new materials.
"I think other new songs that we have made together also have an equally interesting appeal as 'Bread & Circus'. There are refreshing updates," concluded Rekti.
