JAKARTA - The Indonesian music festival scene is ready to welcome the big event Synchronize Fest 2026 which is scheduled to take place at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on October 16-18.
Entering the second decade of its journey, the festival known for its cross-genre curation made a surprise announcement with the first lineup that brought together Jakarta's pride indie-rock group, Reality Club, with Bangkok-based solo artist, Phum Viphurit.
This collaboration is not just a regular meeting on stage, but the fruit of mutual admiration that has been planted since 2019.
At that time, Reality Club was trusted to open Phum's solo concert in Jakarta. Since that moment, the two's creative relationship has continued to grow, ranging from throwing compliments at various interview sessions to exchanging songs on social media that had sparked great expectations from fans in both countries.
The collaboration with Reality Club marks the first time for Phum to perform live on stage with Indonesian musicians. The singer who is popular through the song "Lover Boy" also couldn't hide his enthusiasm for this special project.

In line with Phum, Reality Club vocalist Fathia Izzati, said that this project is a dream that has finally been realized. For the band, which has produced four studio albums, standing alongside musicians of Phum's caliber is an emotional personal achievement.
"It's like a dream come true, being able to collaborate with Phum Viphurit. Because we have admired Phum for quite some time," said Fathia.
Synchronize Fest's step in bridging cross-country artistic dialogue is not the first. In the 2025 edition, they successfully shook the stage through the meeting of Queen of Dangdut Elvy Sukaesih with the Japanese ska unit, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra.
The presence of Reality Club and Phum Viphurit in 2026 underlines the festival's ambition to bring local music narratives to a wider regional and international level.
