Bryan Adams Enchants Jakarta Audience with Mass Choir

JAKARTA - Thousands of rock music fans seemed to enjoy Bryan Adams' performance at the "Roll with the Punches" concert held at the Beach City International Stadium (BCIS) Ancol, Jakarta on Tuesday, February 3 evening.

Due to the concert promoted by Rajawali Indonesia taking place on weekdays, Bryan Adams only appeared in front of the audience at 21.15 WIB, after the appearance of Rony Parulian and Ari Lasso was opened.

When the audience turned their eyes towards the stage, Bryan Adams with his acoustic guitar actually appeared in the crowd. "Can't Stop This Thing We Started" was performed as the opening of the repertoire.

Immediately, the entire BCIS was noisy with the audience's screams after the appearance of the Canadian singer-songwriter. They even couldn't resist singing along when "Straight From the Heart" was performed.

After two songs, Adams headed to the main stage. "Kick Ass", "Run to You", and "Somebody" were performed in sequence. Then, 'Roll with the Punches" was presented, along with a giant balloon in the shape of a boxing glove that suddenly appeared in front of the audience.

"It's been a long time since we last performed here. And we are so happy to finally be back," said Bryan Adams when greeting the audience.

Adams performed for more than two hours, with about 28 songs performed on stage. Of course, the main spotlight came when favorite songs were performed, just say "Please Forgive Me" and "Heaven".

None of those in the audience could resist singing. Fans seemed to enjoy the performance on stage, while occasionally capturing the moment with their cellphones.

At the age of 66, Bryan Adams appears in the best condition. His distinctive vocal character is still felt in every song.

The evening's performance was so flowing, it didn't feel like it, "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" was sung - making the crowd a compact choir.

"Back to You", "Summer of '69", "Cuts Like a Knife", and "All for Love" were presented in sequence as a closing repertoire. The tension on stage was still the same, as was the audience in the audience who were still loyal and did not want to go home.

In this performance, Bryan Adams was not the only highlight. Keith Scott, a guitarist who has long played with Adams, managed to amaze many fans, every time he played his solo part.
