Five Finger Death Punch Teams Up with Babymetal for 20th Anniversary

JAKARTA - Las Vegas-based heavy metal giants Five Finger Death Punch (5FDP) celebrate two decades of their journey in the music industry by launching a new compilation album titled "20 Years of Five Finger Death Punch - Best Of Volume 2".

The album, released through the label Better Noise Music, caught widespread attention, especially thanks to the unexpected collaboration with the Japanese kawaii metal unit, Babymetal, in the song "The End" (2025 Version).

The step of re-producing these hit songs is not just a nostalgia event for 5FDP. Ivan Moody et al deliberately re-recorded 16 of their iconic songs to reclaim their rights to their musical heritage after the original recording master was reported to have been sold by the old label without the band's consent.

In addition to the polished studio songs, the album also includes three exclusive live tracks - "Wash It All Away", "Wrong Side Of Heaven", and "Jekyll And Hyde" - which capture the energy of their explosive stage.

The collaboration in the song "The End" is the main attraction for metalheads. Babymetal vocalist, Su-Metal, revealed his enthusiasm for this project, which he considered very energetic.

"I added Japanese lyrics inspired by the original version. My favorite part is the transition to the bridge when my vocals slowly sink into Ivan Moody's growl. That moment makes me shiver!" Su-Metal said in a press release received by VOI, Sunday, January 4.

The combination of J-metal's distinctive shrill vocals with Moody's baritone growl gives a new dimension that is fresher than the original version.

The presence of this album confirms Five Finger Death Punch's dominance in the modern rock scene. With more than 13 billion streams and 17 singles topping Active Rock Radio, 5FDP continues to expand its audience.

This Best Of Volume 2 album follows the success of the first volume which previously featured a collaboration with Maria Brink from In This Moment.

The song collection in this album includes a row of global hits such as "Sham Pain", "Blue On Black", and "Burn MF", which now comes with more powerful production quality.
