JAKARTA - The family of the late campursari legend, Didi Kempot, introduced the latest project with the help of technology titled "Didi Kempot AI".
This project was revealed through an Instagram post with ImaginAction - a Dino Hamid-owned event-based intellectual property creator - which featured a letter written by the late wife, Putri.
It was explained that this project was carried out through a process based on the permission, blessing, and decision of the large family of Didi Kempot.
"With this, the family officially announces and presents Didi Kempot Al, an initiative that we agree with and we monitor directly," Putri said in her letter, quoted Friday, January 2.
Putri explained that the presence of Didi Kempot AI was not intended to replace the figure of the late "Balapan Station" singer, but as a deeply curated digital representation.
The family emphasizes that this project is not just a human imitation or an attempt to revive a figure who has passed away. Instead, Didi Kempot AI serves as a container to convey the values, messages, and spirit of art that have long been the identity of the singer dubbed The Godfather of Broken Heart.
"Our goal is simple: to keep Didi Kempot's works, messages, and legacy alive and memorable for current and future generations," said Putri.
"This is our way of taking care of the legacy of campursari in a safe and dignified way," he continued.
All the products produced, both audio, visual, and content from Didi Kempot Al, were made with the permission of the family and through a controlled creative process and did not violate the values held by the late.
"Hopefully this will be a good way to remember and maintain the spirit of Didi Kempot," said Putri. "Thank you, Sobat Ambyar, for your prayers and support."
