Amanda Caesa Closes the Year with a Disco Pop Single, Lagi Lagi Kamu

JAKARTA - Towards the end of 2025, Amanda Caesa tried to experiment with her latest single titled Lagi Lagi Kamu. Here she collaborated with Syahravi Amanda, presenting something different from before.

"For this latest single, I want to experiment with music that I have never tried before. Anyway, me and Syahravi decided to make a song with a disco-pop touch that is more upbeat and playful. It feels fresh because it comes out of the music zone that I had previously released. The lyrics were written together, while the production and arrangement were done by Syahravi," explained Amanda Caesa in a written statement received by VOI, December 15.

Regarding the lyrics, Amanda revealed Lagi Lagi Kamu was inspired by a love story where someone keeps coming back to the same person.

"The essence of this song is the moment when we always go back to that person again. There is a sense of awkwardness, restlessness, but also a sense of pride to express feelings first. I am a person who is quite proud to express my love first, so I poured that feeling into this song," he explained.

This time Amanda is back to using Indonesian lyrics after choosing English several times. He has his own reasons.

"Actually, this is not my first Indonesian song, but the genre is different. I myself chose to use Indonesian lyrics again because I want to enrich my discography and show my reach as a musician. I'm always happy to be able to explore in two languages that have different emotional colors," he said.

The experience of writing a song in Indonesian turned out to be a challenge for this Billie Eilish fan. He was also helped a lot by Syahravi to convey his feelings accurately through words.

"I rarely write lyrics in Indonesian, so there are many parts that initially didn't feel right. However, Syahravi was very helpful in finding the right word choices to translate my meaning and emotions. This process was also a moment to learn and make me more comfortable writing in Indonesian. "

Releasing the second single towards the end of the year, Amanda reflected on her musical journey over the past year.

"I also plan to release my first EP, please pray that everything goes well. Hopefully this can open up many new opportunities, bring me to meet more listeners, and get more space to explore the music I like so that I continue to be enthusiastic about working."

Behind the upbeat and playful disco pop genre, Amanda presents a meaningful message in her second single.

"Through 'Lagi Lagi Kamu', I want to tell the listeners that 'it's okay if you are experiencing such complicated feelings because being honest with yourself takes time'. Hopefully those who hear it will feel accompanied by this song, especially if they are in the phase of pulling and pushing which, although it makes us confused, also makes us feel nostalgic. In the end, no matter how far we go around, honesty with our own feelings is the most comforting thing," concluded Amanda.
