Fergie Reunites with will.i.am cs to Celebrate Black Eyed Peas' Birthday

JAKARTA - Fergie for the first time appeared in public with his former colleagues in the Black Eyed Peas - will.i.am, Taboo, and apl.de.ap.

This rare moment marked their reunion after eight years since Fergie decided to leave the group that made her famous.

Through his personal Instagram account, Fergie also uploaded several photos with his three colleagues while celebrating the Black Eyed Peas' birthday.

"Finally being able to eat together and celebrate our important birthday," Fergie wrote, quoting the caption of the upload, Monday, December 15.

"A very special night with my brothers, filled with so much love," he added.

This reunion is not intended for professional affairs such as new music projects, but purely a personal celebration. However, the moment is still full of meaning considering the legacy they have created.

Fergie is known to have officially left the Black Eyed Peas in 2018. Since then, he has focused on his solo career as well as his role as a mother.

Meanwhile, the Black Eyed Peas continued as a trio, releasing new works and touring.

This anniversary meeting comes just months after Fergie made a surprise comeback to the stage. In October, she appeared unexpectedly in Ludacris' set at ONE Musicfest in Atlanta, USA.

After the stunning performance, Ludacris shouted to the audience that Fergie hadn't performed in seven years.

Together with Fergie as the core personnel, the Black Eyed Peas successfully dominated the global charts throughout the 2000s to early 2010s.

Their phenomenal albums, such as "Elephunk" and "The E.N.D.", gave birth to a number of hit songs that are still remembered to this day, including "Where Is the Love?", "Boom Boom Pow", and "I Gotta Feeling".
