JAKARTA - The global TikTok Year in Music 2025 report has announced a list of the most influential musicians and songs on the Chinese social media platform.
The highest award, Global Artist of the Year, was won by the newcomer girl group, KATSEYE.
The group, which was formed through the collaboration between HYBE and Universal Music Group, won the award thanks to a series of viral musical moments on TikTok, especially their songs, "Gnarly".
The song triggered 2.4 million content creations and was watched more than 13.5 billion times.
Meanwhile, the Global Song of the Year category was surprisingly won by the classic song "Prety Little Baby" from the late Connie Francis which was released in 1962.

The eternal song successfully embraced a new generation, used in more than 28.4 million videos showing how TikTok can revive music from any era to global viral.
Other names that also won awards this year include Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Jess Glynne, Black Eyed Peas, Douchii, sombr, Tate McRae, EKE, and many more.
