GBK Area Becomes Primadona As Concert Venue, PPKGBK Wants To Continue To Improve

JAKARTA - The Senayan Bung Karno Gelora (GBK) area continues to be in demand by artists and musicians as concert venues. In the midst of the development of the music performance or concert industry which is getting more lively in Indonesia, the GBK area remains the prima donna.

Head of the Marketing and Sales Division of the Bung Karno Sports Center Complex Management (PPKGBK), Sri Lestari Puji Astuti, said that GBK is a venue for interest, especially after the development of the entertainment industry has resumed post-pandemic.

"If we look at the development of concerts in Indonesia, especially GBK as a place that is quite attractive to many musicians, the development is quite significant. Indeed, it continues to improve compared to yesterday's sluggishness due to the pandemic," said Head of the PPKGBK Marketing and Sales Division Sri Lestari Puji Astuti in a media meeting in Jakarta, citing ANTARA on Thursday, November 27.

According to Sri, the developments that took place were quite extraordinary, such as Istora, one of the extraordinary places in GBK because there were many legacys there, both from the creative world and sports.

"So Istora's election is the right election. Because Istora is one of the venues in GBK that has extraordinary acoustics," he said.

Sri emphasized that GBK supports space for local musicians to take part. In this case, PPKGBK also highlighted the importance of implementing security standards on every activity, such as Terms and Conditions (TNC) and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP), especially for concerts, concerts and sports activities.

"Usually we will have additional safety, especially crowd management. We will definitely ask for help from the organizers, so that everything goes according to the existing SOP," he said.

"Because GBK is not like other places, yes, we are heritage. So we still maintain the venue for safety," he added.
