Loss Of Investors Of Up To Tens Of Billions Of Rupiah, Mecimapro Suspected Of Fraud And Embezzlement

JAKARTA - Director of PT Melani Citra Permata (Mecimapro), Fransiska Dwi Melani, has been named a suspect in alleged embezzlement of funds on the report of PT Media Inspiration Bangsa (MIB) at Polda Metro Jaya.

Aldi Rizki as the reporter's attorney said that his party suffered losses of up to tens of billions of rupiah due to cooperation with Mecimapro as the promoter of the TWICE concert in Jakarta on December 23, 2023.

The reporter tried to resolve the problem by deliberation and kinship, but Mecimapro never gave a positive response. The summons to ask for a refund and cancel the financing agreement did not receive a good response from the music promoter who was headed by Melani.

"For this action, the reporting party suffered financial losses of tens of billions of rupiah," Aldi said through a press release to the media crew, Thursday, October 30.

Meanwhile, a report against Mecimapro was submitted on January 10. MIB strongly suspects, Melani has committed a criminal act of fraud or fraud and/or embezzlement, as referred to in Article 378 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 372 of the Criminal Code.

Aldi added, after going through a series of investigations, law enforcement officials have named Melani as a suspect and have detained her.

"We appreciate the quick and responsive steps taken by investigators in handling this case," said Aldi.

For this determination, Aldi hopes that the legal process involving his client can continue to run in accordance with the applicable legal corridors in a professional and transparent manner, in order to uphold justice and provide legal certainty for MIB as the injured party.

"This case will continue to be actively guarded and will continue to coordinate with the police to ensure that PT MIB's legal rights remain protected," concluded Aldi.
