Def Leppard Becomes A New Star At The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

JAKARTA - Def Leppard has their names on the global entertainment scene. The rock band from Sheffield has officially received honor with a star at the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, Los Angeles, USA.

The award was inaugurated last week. Interestingly, the Def Leppard star embedding event was attended by Jon Bon Jovi, who gave an honorary welcome.

In his remarks, Jon admitted that he was a big fan of Def Leppard before finally making friends with his personnel.

"I was a fan before I became a friend," said Jon, quoted by NME.

Jon reminisced about the early days of their careers by mentioning Def Leppard at that time was just a group of young people his age from a working-class city in England.

"But there is something that catches my attention melodies, guitars, young people who dare to show it in front of big recordings and are not afraid," added the Bon Jovi frontman.

Responding to the award, Def Leppard expressed gratitude and deep happiness through their official Instagram account. They admit that they still don't believe this achievement.

"It will always be engraved on the streets of Los Angeles! Thank you @hwdwalkoffame for the honor, and to the fans we have been with for years. That day was an unforgettable day," wrote Def Leppard.

Meanwhile, this important confession coincided with the big announcement from Def Leppard regarding the arena tour they had prepared. The tour is scheduled for the summer of 2026.

Def Leppard promised to present many surprises and classic songs on their list. The series of shows will open in Sweden on June 13, followed by performances in Finland (June 16), Switzerland (19 June), and Germany (June 23).

After a series in mainland Europe, Def Leppard will hit six cities in Great Britain. They will also hold concerts at The O2 London, BP Pulse LIVE in Birmingham, and Co-Op Live in Manchester in early July.

The series of arena tours will close with appearances at the Wacken Open Air festival at the end of July 2026.
