Hayley Williams Opens Up About The Figure Of A Country Racist Singer On His Solo Song

JAKARTA - Hayley Williams finally opened her voice and revealed the identity behind the lyrics of the "racist country singer" of her solo song, "Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party".

The figure in question is Morgan Wallen, a United States country music superstar who is often hit by the issue of racism.

This confession was conveyed by Williams in his latest interview with the New York Times. On that occasion, the Paramore frontwoman discussed her solo album which was released surprisingly, "Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party".

Jon Caramanica and Joe Coscarelli as the show's guide also asked specifically who the real "racist country singer" was, which he mentioned in the album's main song.

In the lyrics of the song, Williams sings a scathing satire, "I am the biggest star/at the bar of this racist country singer."

When he was urged to name names, Williams publicly gave a straightforward and brave answer.

"It could be some people, but I always talk about Morgan Wallen. I don't care," said the 36-year-old singer.

It didn't stop there, Williams even challenged Wallen openly. "Meet me at Whole Foods... I don't care."

Previously, the singer, who is known to be good friends with Taylor Swift, once called Wallen's bar in Nashville the most disliked of all places owned by country singers. However, he never explicitly confirmed that the bar was the subject of the song.

For information, Williams surprisingly released 17 solo songs on his website, but can only be accessed in a limited time. The songs can only be heard using a 16-digit code that can be obtained by buying one of the products from his Good Dye Young collection.

Williams then officially released the album on August 28 marking his first work as an independent artist after his recording contract with Warner/Atlantic ended.
