Lola Young Announces Rehat From Music Activities After Pingsan Incident On Stage

JAKARTA - The rising British soloist, Lola Young, made a drastic decision to temporarily withdraw from all his musical activities.

This decision was taken just three days after he collapsed on stage at the All Things Go music festival in New York City, last weekend.

Meanwhile, the announcement of a break from music activities was announced by Young to fans through a statement uploaded to the official Instagram account.

"I will be leaving for a while," wrote Lola Young, citing her statement, Wednesday, October 1.

In his message, the soloist, known as the song "Messy", confirmed that he could not fulfill all the commitments and gig schedules that would come, as it took time to focus on his health.

"With a heavy heart I have to cancel everything for an indefinite time," he added.

The collapse incident experienced by Young is a climax of the mental pressure he has felt. Moments before falling unconscious on stage, he told the audience about the difficult times he was facing.

The day before, he even had to cancel his appearance at the Audacy's We Can Survive which was held at Prudential Center, New Jersey. At that time, the manager revealed that the cancellation was related to sensitive issues related to Young's mental health.

After the incident in New York, Young had told fans he was in good condition. However, not long ago, he again announced the cancellation to appear at the All Things Go Festival in Washington, DC.

"I love this job, and I have never underestimated my commitment and audience," Young said at the time, stressing his hopes for a second chance in the future.

Furthermore, regarding his latest announcement, Young explicitly apologized to fans who had already bought tickets to witness his appearance.

"Thank you for all the love and support," said Young. "I'm so sorry for disappointing anyone who has bought a ticket to watch me. It hurts more than you know."

In closing his message, Young echoed optimism for a return, but with a mental condition that has recovered.

"I really hope you will give me a second chance after I have time to improve and come back stronger," concluded Lola Young.
