Anima Bans Ex-Personnel From Using Band Names Behind Personal Names

JAKARTA - Band Anima, through uploads on Instagram, submitted an open letter prohibiting the use of band brands behind personal names for former personnel.

In the letter, the first point stated that those who are currently Anima personnel are Lucky Lukman (vocals), Rhino Adriano (guitar), Nkan Erickan (guitar).

"BANNING the use of the ANIMA brand behind a personal name, or any other form that creates economic rights without our permission," reads the second point, quoted Wednesday, September 24.

Meanwhile, said Anima, what was conveyed in an open letter was based on the registration of the name of the band by Lucky, Nkan, and Rhino at the Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DJKI).

"This registration has been official and decided with the status of 'DIDAFTAR (TM)' with Number JID2020000077 which directly has the consequences of bound law regarding the use of Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI) regulated by the Copyright Law," he said.

"This post is also a warning for several parties who are still using the name in public, social media, banners and other forms of promotional media," concluded Anima.
