JAKARTA - The Minister of Finance (Menkeu) of the Republic of Indonesia, Purbaya Yudhi Sadive, has again become a topic of conversation on social media, not because of his outspoken statement, but because of his video while singing the song 'Bunga Di Bank Jalan' from Koes Plus.

Several TikTok accounts uploaded the video. Minister of Finance Purbaya seemed to be in a room with minimal lighting. While playing the acoustic guitar, he sang the song which was first released in 1972.

Purbaya did not sing the song 'Bunga Di Jepi Jalan' by imitating Koes Plus. He was seen trying to sing with his own version.

"Open the tiktok Just want to find Mr. Purbaya. There is just new news," wrote a netizen in the comments column.

Purbaya's singing ability cannot be exaggerated. Naturally, he is not a singer.

However, netizens actually saw the virality of the video because of the Purbaya effect which was in the spotlight of many people.

"Now whatever he makes will go viral," said another netizen.

For information, 'Bunga Di Jenjung Jalan' is one of the best songs from Koes Plus, which is still being heard and performed today.

Written by Yon Koeswoyo, 'Bunga Di Bank Jalan' was included in the album Volume 4 which was released in 1972.

Sheila On 7's version of the song 'Bunga on the Road Bank' with Erwin Gutawa was also released on the album 'Salute to Koes Plus/Berudara' on June 25, 2004.

This song is also ranked 80th in Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine's list of "150 Best Indonesian Songs".
