Ilan Rubin Reveals First Impression Of Being A Foo Fighters Drummer

JAKARTA - Ilan Rubin finally started his first official assignment as drummer for Foo Fighters. He performed with Dave Grohl Cs on Saturday, September 13 evening at the Fremont Theater all-ages, San Luis Obispo, California.

Rubin's first live stage was simple, because it was held with a capacity of 900 spectators, which for Foo Fighters was relatively small.

Rubin chose not to talk much on his first show. Two days later, September 15, he uploaded a post on Instagram to convey his feelings for his debut moment.

"Last night with the @foofighters was really the best moment," Rubin wrote in a post featuring several photos from a sweaty concert and in a very close proximity to the audience.

The backstage moment with the Foo Fighters personnel was also immortalized by Rubin. He was delighted to be warmly welcomed as a newcomer.

"I was impressed by all the positive responses and support, and I just want to say thank you! The spirit for all the volume and sweat to come," he wrote.

Back to the moment of the gig, Ilan Rubin was introduced by Dave Grohl to the audience for the first time.

"The others have said it, I finally got the opportunity to say, ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, a very great person, Ilan Rubin, who is playing drums for Foo Fighters. This is official," Dave shouted.

Foo Fighters has also inaugurated Rubin into their formation via carousel uploads on Instagram. The caption on the post read, "TADI IS VERY FUN !!! Welcome @ilanrubin," the band wrote.

Ilan Rubin, known as drummer Nine Inch Nails, continued Josh Freese's journey which lasted for about two years. He will escort Foo Fighters on their scheduled tour in Indonesia (October 2), Singapore (October 4), Japan (7, 8, October 10), and Mexico City (14 November).
