Elvy Sukaesih And Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra Ready To Surprise At Synchronize Fest 2025

JAKARTA - One of the most awaited appearances at Synchronize Fest 2025 will present a rare cross-country collaboration. The Queen of Dangdut Indonesia, Elvy Sukaesih, will share the stage with the legendary Japanese Ska group, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (TSPO).

This special moment is scheduled to take place at Gambir Expo, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on the last day of the festival, October 5.

More than just an ordinary show, this action became a reunion event after almost three decades since the two last performed together.

Elvy himself admitted that he was very grateful to be able to meet TSPO again, a group he had collaborated with in Japan decades ago.

"Alhamdulillah, I was finally able to appear again. I feel very happy to be able to meet them after a long time," said Elvy during a 2025 Synchronize Fest press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta, Wednesday, September 10.

Elvy still clearly remembers his last appearance with Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra in Tokyo, about 29 years ago. According to him, this opportunity is his way to let go of the long-saved longing.

"Yes, now I definitely miss you, 29 years ago I played in Tokyo with Tokyo Ska Paradise," said Elvy.

Entering the age of 74, the Queen of Dangdut hopes to be given health in order to give maximum performance.

Meanwhile, Aldila Karina as Director of Communication Synchronize Festival emphasized that this show will be the first moment for Elvy and TSPO on stage in Indonesia. Previous collaboration only occurred in Japan in 1996.

"This is the first time since 29 years ago, the year '96 is only in Japan," Aldila explained.

As a surprise, Elvy confirmed that he would perform several of his hit songs which were rearranged with the nuances of Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, including Mandi Madu and Bisik-Bisik Tetangga, which he briefly sang during a press conference, to the applause of the audience.
