Hayley Williams Make Sure Paramores Don't Disband Amid Hiatus

JAKARTA - Hayley Williams has finally spoken openly about rumors of Paramore's disbandment, amid a hiatus period in the last two years.

As is known, Paramore has had a difficult career, along with the many changes in formations.

The situation became stable with the release of This Is Why in February 2023. The moment marked Paramore for the first time launching two albums with the same personnel.

However, the release of Williams' latest solo album, Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party', last August, brought criticism from fans from the songs and lyrics, and sparked fears of Paramore's disbandment.

The vague lyrics adorn the whole project, hinting at a possible separation between the 36-year-old singer and Paramore guitarist Taylor York, who was confirmed to be in a relationship in 2022.

It didn't stop there, Williams also sold a t-shirt that read 'Hayley Williams Is My Favorite Band' on his official website.

But responding to rumors of Paramore's disbandment, Williams confirmed he was still with Paramore, although the band was still in hiatus.

"Did we ever know where we were?! We always take a break, so we can digest the things we experience as humans," Williams said, quoted by NME from his interview with The Face, Friday, September 5.

"It takes the same time as between albums," he added.

Furthermore, Williams praised his bandmates at Paramore, including Taylor York, his ex-girlfriend.

"There are no musicians who are better in the world than Zac (Farro - drums) and Taylor. No performer is better than Parafour (as for Paramore personnel," said Taylor Swift's pop star friend.

"It's really magical, my friend. I feel deflected because I know that no one can underestimate Paramore," he concluded.
