Business With Agnez Mo Completed, Ari Bias: But Don't Forget, Copyright Violations Have Happened

JAKARTA - Ari Bias is unanimous with his decision. Whatever is the decision of the Supreme Court (MA) in the cassation stage, the issue with Agnez Mo has been resolved. No further effort or Review (PK).

Even though he has received a notification that the Supreme Court has granted Agnez's cassation, Ari is still waiting for a complete verdict on the civil case.

"Because the information from the Supreme Court is just 'bully'. Well, while the kabul does not mean that it has been granted in its entirety, it may also be partially granted, maybe the Supreme Court decided on its own. We don't know," said Ari Bias when met in Senayan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, August 27.

"So that we know for sure what the decision will be, we'll just have to wait, maybe one month the decision will come out. Because it must first be sent to the Central Jakarta District Court, then we can share (to the public)," added Ari.

With the steps taken, it does not mean that the songwriter is completely satisfied. He said the facts of the trial had proven that copyright infringement had occurred.

This has also been supported by the National Collective Management Institute (LMKN) which testified at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court that there was no permit and royalty payment for the use of Agnez Mo's song 'Just Cross' in three shows.

"But don't forget, copyright infringement has already occurred. There is no permit and there is no royalty payment. The problem is, who is responsible. That's all," he said. If you don't do the show, it means the organizer.

"Because if the decision suddenly no one is responsible.' It means that it is not in accordance with the Law (Cipta), it means that the creator is completely abandoned, does not get his rights," he added.

Asked further whether the new lawsuit would be filed against the organizers, Ari still has not confirmed it. He chose to wait and first study the Supreme Court's full decision.

"We'll see about that in the decision. Is the decision transferred or not or what? I can't determine the next step before I see the decision," he said.
