Post Malone Sings Nirvana Songs To Raise Funds For Handling COVID-19

JAKARTA - Post Malone will hold an online concert by singing Nirvana songs through his personal YouTube account. The rapper and singer wants to raise funds for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through his Instagram account, the musician who is familiarly called Posty uploaded a moving video containing information about Post Malone Nirvana Tribute. The video also features the Sunflower singer on stage with his guitar in a cursory manner. Posty includes a short caption: "Friday :)" in the upload.

Quoted from the upload, this live streaming will be held on April 24 at 6 pm European time. Posty also includes a phone number for fans who want to know the event in detail by sending a message through that number.

The musician who was born on June 4 will sing Nirvana's hit songs which are fan favorites. Proceeds obtained from the concert will be donated to the United Nations Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.

It's no secret that Post Malone loves Nirvana. He had performed the song Lithium from the album Nevermind when he was a performer at the Coachella festival. He has also sung the song All Apologies while on a world tour. In addition, Posty has several tattoos related to Nirvana such as a portrait of Kurt Corbain and the inscription Stay Away which is the title of Nirvana's song.

On the other hand, Post Malone is facing a Tyler Armes lawsuit regarding the author credit on the song Circles. According to Armes, Posty did not include his name in the line-up of songwriters even though the two met in person at the studio. Until now, Posty has not issued any statements regarding the lawsuit.

Meanwhile, Post Malone has not released any works other than being a collaborator on the song It's a Raid with Ozzy Osbourne and Forever with Justin Bieber.
