Process And Phase Of Life Still The Main Breath Of Bronze Working On Albums In Dynamics

JAKARTA - After their debut album 'Memorandum' in 2022, Bronze introduced their second studio album which contains nine tracks with the title 'In Dynamics'.

There are differences in both albums. If the Memorandum is known as a contemplative and contemplative space, In the Dynamics' it feels more open, exploratory, and loud in voicing ideas.

However, one thing that is maintained by Maul Ibrahim (vocals, guitars), Adam Adenan (bass, vocals), and Ildo Hasman (drums, vocals) Bronze is still making the process and phase of life the main breath in lyric writing.

The theme includes the search for identity, relationships with partners, to mental fatigue due to the swiftness of digital flows. All of them are present as representatives of personal experiences that are told without distance.

Maul felt that Perunggu chose the themes because that was the one they were most good at. The personnel feel they can write to the maximum in this way.

"We've had three heads, and thank God we've had the exciting route so far. So, the lyrics we wrote are about what we feel or at least we understand," added the vocalist.

Meanwhile, the work on the album 'In Dynamics' was assisted by two music producers who have been heavily involved in major artist projects, Petra Sihombing and Enrico Octavian.

The process of working on the album this time was carried out in stages, in installments in the midst of busy work and gig schedules. But that's where the energy of this album comes from the dynamics of life that does not stop, which continues to move and form humans in it.

One of the exciting moments in this album comes from the song Poor News', which for the first time features Ildo Hasman as the main vocalist. This song was written in 2024, based on a fairly personal situation.

The process is not much different from the Bronze tradition: Maul wrote the lyrics, then the arrangement was formed with Adam and Ildo through a collaborative creative process.

"When the demonstration was over and I sang, it turned out to match," recalls Ildo. Finally, the three of us agreed that I would play this song.

Despite presenting more varied and exploratory arrangements, In Dynamics' still upholds the spirit of live bands which are the main strengths of Bronze.

"All the songs in the dynamics are somehow really exciting if they are played live," said Maul. "Hopefully it can be brought as often as possible."

Despite the differences and similarities of the debut album and the latest album, Ildo insists that In Dynamics'' is not meant to be a comparison of previous albums.

"I hope that in the dynamics I can have my own place and sustenance," concluded Ildo.
