Finally Released First Mini Album, Tissa Biani: This Is My Way Of Storytelling

JAKARTA - Tissa Biani finally released her first EP titled 'Are We?'. Busy with her career as an actress, she seems to have her own mission to achieve as a singer.

This album rolled out after he introduced a number of singles since 2019. The EP has become a new chapter that signifies his seriousness in music.

There are four songs embedded by Tissa on her mini album, namely Are We Just Joking?, Once Very Happy, No Longer Ragu, and a remake of the iconic song Gelora Asmara. This EP is a forum for Tissa's exploration as well as personal expression.

All songs describe the phases that are often experienced in a romantic relationship ranging from the beginning of introduction, approach, falling in love, emergence of doubt, to becoming two stronger individuals.

Everyone must have been in those phases. That's why I try to write these songs so that listeners can feel close to the story. I want them to feel, 'eh, this is like my story!'," said Tissa Biani in a written statement, August 21.

The main single Gelora Asmara is also something special for Tissa. The song, which was once popularized by Derby Romero, was brought back with a touch of Tissa's generation. Not only that, Derby also fully supports being involved as a music video director (his first debut behind the camera) as well as appearing as a model in it.

"It's really fun because Sis Derby supports from start to finish. From the recording process, to filming music videos, she always gives encouragement," added Tissa.

In its creative process, Tissa also contributed to writing several songs and working with Evan as producer. This musical exploration features many guitar instruments, which Tissa said became the hallmark of her work this time.

"I want people to know me not only as an actor, but also as a musician who has his own music color. These songs are my parents telling stories, and I hope they can be friends for many people, want to fall in love, be confused, or just need to be accompanied by music," he concluded.
