Dave Mustaine Announces Megadeth's Last Album And Separation Tour

JAKARTA - The vocalist and founder of Megadeth, Dave Mustaine, stated that their upcoming album and next year's tour will be the final album as well as the farewell tour.

The statement was made to fans via video uploads on social media, featuring the band's mascot and Mustaine's alter ego, Vic Rattlehead, which spoke directly.

Although its alter ego speaks, fans believe that the statement comes from Mustaine herself.

"Many musicians have reached the end of their careers, either by accident or intentional," he said. "Most of them can't get to the top in their own way, and that's what I'm going through right now. I've been around the world and have millions of fans, and the hardest part of all of this is to say goodbye to them."

The alter ego stated that Megadeth was impatient to show fans new material. He said this year was the right time to release an album.

"We can't wait for you to listen to this album and see us on tour. If there is a good time for us to release a new album, now is the time," continued alter ego Mustaine.

"If there is a good time for a world tour, now is the time. It's also the right time for us to let you know that this is our last studio album," he continued. We have made a lot of friends over the years and I look forward to meeting you all on our global farewell tour. Don't be angry, don't be sad, be happy for all of us, celebrate with me in the years to come.

Vic Rattlehead ended the announcement by stating Megadeth had done many extraordinary things and may never be repeated.

"We started a musical style, we started a revolution, we changed the guitar world and the way it played, and we changed the world. The bands I played in have affected the world. I love you all for it. Thank you for everything," he concluded.

For information, Megadeth was founded in 1983, after Mustaine was expelled from Metallica. The band released their debut album in 1985 and was completely successful.

Mustaine with her distinctive vocals and flaring guitar playing was the only constant thing along Megadeth's journey, which has resulted in 16 studio albums.
