Guitarist Tom Morello Angered by the Genocide in Gaza: Stop Killing Children!

JAKARTA - Protests against Israel's occupation of Gaza continue to come from various groups. Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello is among those outraged by this.

Tom, who has been quite active in speaking out on humanitarian issues, is disgusted by the genocide targeting both adults and children. He condemned the killing of innocent people by Israel.

"Anti-Semitism is real. Anti-Semitism, religious and racial hatred, intolerance, and bigotry in ANY form must ALWAYS be condemned and opposed. We can believe this and also say without hesitation: STOP THE KILLING OF CHILDREN," he wrote in a lengthy Instagram post on August 11.

According to him, Israel is not only violating the rules of war but also negating humanity with its atrocities. Especially regarding children, Tom spoke out about the lives and futures being taken away.

"Stop starving children to death. Stop burning children alive in their tents. Stop shooting starving children in the head while they're waiting in line for food. Stop blowing up children in 'safe zones.' Stop maiming children. Stop orphaning children. Stop funding the killing, maiming, and orphaning of children. Stop letting children die in incubators. Stop making excuses for killing children. Stop bragging about killing children on social media," he added.

Tom Morello's protest was also joined by a number of world musicians, including Bono of U2. This wave of protests is expected to escalate if Netanyahu doesn't immediately stop the repression.

"This week, the members of U2 shared their own lengthy statement regarding the Israel-Gaza crisis, with Bono saying that the Netanyahu government "deserves our unequivocal and unconditional condemnation," Bono said.
