JAKARTA - Several international musicians have expressed their stance on Palestinian freedom from oppression and genocide. Damon Albarn is one of those involved in this concert titled Together for Palestine.

Musicians are involved in wanting to convey one main message, namely love and solidarity with the Palestinian people. This event itself is planned to be held on September 17.

Seeing the oppression and misery that is taking place in Gaza and its surroundings, silence is not a wise choice for these musicians. In the midst of industrial pressure that will affect their careers, concern lies above all else.

Apart from Damon Albarn, those involved in this gig include Bastille, Cat Burns, Greentea Peng, Hot Chip, James Blake, Paloma Faith and many more.

This humanitarian move is also supported by executive producers who are already widely known. There will be Eno, Khaled Ziada, Khalid Abdalla and Julida Seaward who are ready to mobilize their energy and thoughts for this concert.

It did not stop there, Palestinian-blooded artists will also certainly take part. Apart from Adnan Joubran, Faraj Suleiman and Nai Barghouti, a series of other performers will be announced in the near future.

There will be fundraising sent to the Palestinian people who fight every day. Donations will be channeled through Choose Love, a charity that helps humanity and war victims.

Damon Albarn feels that the terror felt by the Palestinian people must be ended soon. He hopes that peace will come soon, and one of them is trying to be conveyed through music.
