Former Oasis Original Drummer Reveals Reasons For Being Expelled From The Band

JAKARTA - The Oasis Reunion is a celebration of the peace of Liam and Noel Gallagher and their glory. This concert involved other old personnel, but not drummer Tony McCarrick.

Even though Tony is one of the founders of Oasis who started his Manchester band career from 1991. His drumming game graces the legendary works of the album Definitely Maybe (1994). He also plays several singles such as Whatever and Some Might Say.

The drummer's journey was only short. In 1995 he left the band, more precisely issued by the personnel. The smooth end led to Tony demanding royalties from Oasis.

Tony McCarroll had a long conflict with Noel Gallagher and the roiyalti case rolled out at trial. In the end Tony agreed to accept 550,000 pounds, and agreed not to charge royalties in the future.

In a recent interview with The Sun, McCarroll revealed what happened when he was fired from the group. The moment apparently took place in Paris, on one of the Oasis stages.

"There was an incident in Paris. I was next to Noel's hotel room, which I didn't know. I had a fight with a girl who was with me, and the next day we were doing soundchecks," Tony McCarrick quoted NME as saying, July 30.

"I just finished talking, and he turned around and, in front of everyone, he said, 'You keep me awake again, you're going to be fired, man.' Maybe that's the thing I've been doing for life, but I immediately said, 'You won't talk like that anymore, it's impossible'. Only a few weeks later I got P45 (the letter of dismissal)," he explained.

Tony has no regrets against Noel Gallagher's arbitrary behavior. He just couldn't believe he was fired for something so trivial, not because of musicality or other bad things.

"If I don't talk, what kind of boy would I be? Everyone is threatened every day, but it's just a hoax. I've never taken it seriously like I lost my position in the band," he explained.

In the end, he admits that he is ready to end decades of hostility with Noel. "Are we going to have tea together and ask, 'what we did first, man'. Yes, I will," concluded Tony McCarrick.
