Donny Michael Shifts Focus To Music, Releases First Single With DOM Band

JAKARTA - Known as a soap opera star on the small screen, Donny Michael returns to focus on music as a band boy. He recently released his first single with DOM Band.

Strengthened by Donny (Vokal), Adie (Gitar), Emus (Bass), they made their debut through a song called "Going In Front of My Wife".

This song was written by Donny with Adie and Aryani Fitriana. The lyrics themselves tell about the bitterness that is happening in front of all of us today.

Flashback to 2016, Donny had a band with Adie, but because of the many activities of each personnel, they finally decided to hiatus from the music world.

Since 2016 even though we have been on hiatus, I personally and Adie have formed friendships. We are even more compact, even during the pandemic we had time to make several works together. Finally in 2023 we recruited Emus and finally formed the Band DOM," said Donny, who has starred in various soap opera titles including Street Children.

We make this song inspired by many things that are happening such as violence, hunger, murder and others. And the suffering is real in front of our eyes and whether we have to be silent to see everything happen, said Adie interpreting the song.

Donny et al were enthusiastic when they got the opportunity to make a song to become one of the soundtracks for the film "Gaza: Hayya 3", which was also played by Donny with his wife Aryani Fitriana, also with Cut Syifa to Oki Setiana Dewi.

We wrote songs for films in a very short time. Alhamdulillah, we are satisfied with the results and become one of the soundtracks in a film. So we decided this song to be our first single," said Emus.

During the shooting process Gaza: Hayya 3, Donny admitted that he received a lot of inspiration in writing the lyrics of the song.

"Looking at the story of this film, I feel the anxiety I want to voice. I immediately wrote the lyrics and Adie also immediately made his melody assisted by Dimas Achonk as a Music Producer and immediately recorded," added Donny.

Through his work, DOM Band wants to voice many things from within their hearts. Through the lyrics and music they presented, DOM Band hopes that the Indonesian people can enjoy, feel and listen to songs from the band's DOM.
