JAKARTA - Erros Djarot is preparing to hold a Barong's Band Millenial performance which will be held at the Jakarta Arts Building, Friday, May 9 this week.

The former vocalist of Dewa, Once Mekel, is one of the names involved in this show. He said he was happy because he was invited to bring back the works of the Barong's Band.

"I was invited by Mas Erros to participate in this Barong's Band Millennial event. First, I like it because I really like his work. Second, I like the figure Mas Erross," said Once, met after a recent training session in Jakarta.

Once called Erros a role model, which he said had succeeded in becoming an artist, a culturalist, as well as a political figure.

The 54-year-old singer also praised Erros' works, which he said had more value, although not very commercially successful.

"From sales (sales), maybe the works we heard today have lost commercially. But in terms of value, we have our own advantage," said Once.

"That's why it's in line with the time, then there are more awareness people (tofu), and the songs can still be performed in big concerts, and there are still many who want to buy tickets," he added.

Despite performing the Barong's Band songs from the 1970s, this performance will present an updated musical style, so that it is presented more relevant to millennials.

Apart from Once Mekel, Tantri KOTAK and Keenan Nasution were also involved in the show which could be attended without the need to spend this ticket fee.
