Isyana Sarasvati Opens A New Era Of EKLEKTIKO Through Collaboration With The Indies In Single Today

JAKARTA - Isyana Sarasvati continues to explore her music. After a decade of celebration last year, he announced a new era through his fifth studio album with the title "ELEKTIKO".

This new era reflects freedom of expression without limits. "ELEKTIKO" is a form of celebration over 32 years of his life, and will be a space for Isyana to fully revive her entire imagination and musical persona.

"After all the explorations in life and work that I have gone through, I am increasingly convinced that the music I created is really free and authentic music. Not bound by certain theories, styles, or genres," Isyana said in a press release to VOI, Friday, May 2.

"This is a space where I can be free to be anything and live my imagination indefinitely," Isyana added.

Through ELEKTIKO', listeners will be introduced to the four main parts representing the different sides of Isyana, which includes Lunora, Mamiu, Cecilia, and Century.

For the part of Lunora, Isyana celebrates diversity through collaboration. In this section, he collaborated with three male musicians, namely the Indies, VIDI, and Afgan.

This journey begins with Lunora, where I invite three Indonesian male musicians to explore together. Difference is not an obstacle, that's where the magic lies," said Isyana.

To open a new chapter, Isyana released her first collaboration single with the Indies entitled Today. Released to coincide with her 32nd birthday, this single is an important marker of Isyana's vision in the era of EXLEKTIKO.

Today was co-written by Isyana and Baskara Putra (Hindia), with Petra Sihombing as producers and co-writers, as well as Gamaliél as vocal director and backing vocals.

This single comes as a reflection of the inner struggle, a moment of victory after going through a period of numbness that had enveloped his life. Isyana tries to record the struggle to re-tighten, accept the spectrum of emotion completely, and move forward with hope.

The release of Today is also equipped with a music video that was also launched on the same day. Directed by Aco Tenriyagelli, this music video also involves approximately 150 people from Isyanation (fanbase Isyana) and Team Indies (Indies fanbase), who directly became additional roles.

In addition, several actors were also involved, such as Niniek L. Karim, Baskara Mahendra, Bhisma Mulia, Alika Jantinia, Marsha Risdasari, Jesslyn Alena Zain, and Alwi Djamalalil.

As a continuation of the 'ELEKTIKO', Isyana ensured that the next two collaborations with VIDI and Afgan would soon follow, and open more layers into her new musical universe.
