Ravi Andika Who Is Full Of Shocks In The New Single Titled Back?

JAKARTA - Ravi Andika introduced a single titled 'Back?' as his first release in 2025. This song marked Ravi's return with Indonesian lyrics, after four songs last year using English.

The reason is simple, by bringing back Indonesian lyrics, the songwriters based in Bandung are trying to treat their longing to present works that are closer to mother tongue.

Back? Tells about someone who wants to come back to his girlfriend, but is still filled with doubts. Through this song, Ravi tries to convey feelings of failure to move on with a more straightforward and emotional lyric approach.

With the theme close to many people's daily lives, wrapped with modern sound choices, Ravi wants the song to be a potentially strong work to reach more listeners' hearts.

"In this song, I want to convey the feeling of failure to move on which is described more dramatically, in accordance with what many people have experienced in today's era," Ravi said in his statement, Friday, April 25.

Modern sound choices are felt in the latest singles. Different from the previous four songs that were based on guitar playing, 'Back?' started with a simple keyboard game, which was then followed by a row ofverses sung. In the pre-chorus section until entering the first chorus, an imaginative sound ornament appears.

This song is full of surprises in terms of musical arrangements. Entering the second verse, the nuances built at the beginning, changed with a complete rhythm section game. The tempo change also gave a surprise, with the aim of keeping the song's mood fresh without being trapped in an atmosphere that was too gloomy.

Ravi produced this song assisted by Putra Prasetyo (Closehead) as a co-producer, with additional guitar instruments by Saprol (Closehead) and bass by Edwin Simarmata.

Production produced this time sounds so mature. Naturally, this is not the first production. 'Back?' Already entered the recording studio in 2023.

Although the release of this year's work appears slower than the previous year, Ravi stated that 'Back?' is the beginning of a larger musical project. This song is the opening of a series of songs that will later be collected into a full album.
