Type-X Celebrates 30th Anniversary With New Album Tour And Release

JAKARTA - Type X, which this year celebrates the 30th anniversary, has prepared a big breakthrough. This Ska band from Jakarta will hold a tour and release the album eighth studio that has been waiting for a long time.

A tour with the title Type-X Orcheska: 30 Years Music Tour will be held in collaboration with X Management and Pyramid Entertainment. Three cities in Sumatra are the starting point. Type-X will visit Padang, Jambi and Medan which starts on May 28.

Dipha as the manager said the tour this time will coincide with the release of the eighth album. The concept of a performance that combines Ska music with an orchestra was chosen to distinguish it from previous concerts.

"In 2012, we released the seventh album, we only made one event at that time, in Jakarta. And for now, as a celebration of our 30th anniversary, we released our eighth album as well as want to make our own event. But we don't want an event that was usually rich before, finally thought of combining Ska music and orchestra. And we think that's very possible," Dipha said at a press conference in Cilandak, South Jakarta, Wednesday, April 16.

Type-X vocalist Tresno Riadi added that the concept of presenting an orchestra will maintain the spirit and energy they usually display on stage.

"If we talk about an orchestra, the impression is majestic and serious, but we want to take this to the field (open). Type-X is a band from a realm that is not mainstream, and we want to try a different concept. And we invite the orchestra which can also be integrated with the band, "said Tresno.

Ticket sales for performances in Padang, Jambi and Medan will be open starting Thursday, April 17. The promoter prepares only one ticket category for IDR 90,000 that can be owned through www.arenatix.id.

Through this page, fans can also buy the eighth Type-X album as well as merchandise made specifically to celebrate the 30th anniversary.

Widi Purwanto representing the Pyramids Entertainment said his party would give the best for the X-Friends and X-Angels (fan bases). Type-X will appear with the concept of a show that has never been witnessed before.

"Actually what is more special, based on our discussion, compared to the greatest technology displayed, we will show something very different from the appearance of Type X on stage," said Widi.

Meanwhile, the three cities mentioned above are only the beginning of the Orcheska Type-X series: 30 Years Music Tour. The management has prepared other cities on the islands of Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi which will be announced in the near future. Not only that, but Tresno cs is also projected to take this tour to several Asian countries.
