JAKARTA - It has been ten years since Prajna Murdaya, Nikita Dompas, and Harmoko Aguswan founded Shoemaker Studios. The music house located in Cikini, Central Jakarta has collaborated with more than 1,500 Indonesian and foreign musicians.
As a forum for incubation and creativity, musicians who are widely known as well as those who are still growing, come and be creative in Shoemaker. However, this is not enough. The founders wanted more musicians to be involved.
"It's time for Shoemaker to take on a bigger role in order to have a greater positive impact on creatives in the music field," said Prajna Murdaya in a video shown at a press conference at Shoemaker Studios recently.
As for several programs and facilities, such as the production of live Shoes and Feels sessions, to workshops with the masters, will continue to be developed.

Nikita Dompas who was met on the same occasion said that this music house will continue to transform as a house lab. Shoemaker wants to participate in forming a better Indonesian music ecosystem.
Not without reason, Nikita said that music actors need support to keep their arts. With the facilities they have, Shoemaker also wants to see the future of Indonesian musicians better than yesterday.
"House lab will not only be technical, but also how musicians can survive in this uncertain music world," said Nikita.
After ten years of this musical home journey, Shoemaker 2.0 was launched, with a vision to play an active role in shaping Indonesian music culture, as well as connecting various elements of cross-genre and cross-border music to become catalysts for innovative collaborations.
This ecosystem will later be designed in such a way that it is easy to access and benefit from mutualism for all musicians, both those who have just grown and those who are already at the top of the mainstream.
With several breakthroughs that have been prepared, Shoemaker 2.0 begins with the launch of the first episode of Shoebox Live featuring Wijaya 80. Production of this live session can be seen on Shoemaker Studios' YouTube channel.
